Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using Sirr (“the app”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms are between you and Ahmet Gezgin (“we”, “us”).
2. The practice, not advice
Sirr presents the classical Sufi contemplative-poetic tradition for reflection and personal practice. It is offered with attribution and humility. It is not:
- a source of religious rulings (fatwa) or theological authority;
- medical, psychological, or professional advice;
- a substitute for human support.
If a reflection surfaces real distress, please reach out to a qualified person or local support service. The app may point you toward help, but it is not a crisis service.
3. Your content
The reflections you write remain yours and stay on your device. We do not access, claim, or use them. You are responsible for keeping your own device backups if you wish to preserve them.
4. Sources & attribution
The couplets and images in Sirr are drawn from public-domain scholarly translations (such as Nicholson's Masnavi) and the classical tradition, presented with attribution. The app's own framing lines and software are our copyright.
5. Purchases
Sirr is free to begin. The Pro lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase that unlocks the full library and all cycles. Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to the Apple Media Services Terms. Refunds are handled by Apple per their policy.
6. Acceptable use
- Use the app for your own personal, non-commercial contemplative practice.
- Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app's software or curated content packs.
7. Disclaimer & liability
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
