Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Sift iOS application ("Sift", "the app"), developed by Hacı Ahmet Gezgin ("the developer", "we"). By downloading or using Sift, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. License

Sift is licensed, not sold, to you for personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control, subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). Where these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the Standard EULA governs.

2. What Sift does

Sift sorts your photo library and contacts on your device into work, personal, and clutter; rescues important items to protected albums; helps you clear duplicates and noise; and keeps a 30-day Recovery Bin so changes are reversible. All processing happens on your iPhone.

Sift is a productivity and organization tool. It is not antivirus, security, or backup software, and makes no claim to protect against malware or data loss outside its own Recovery Bin window.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the content of your photo library and contacts and for the decisions you make in the app.
Although Sift is designed to be non-destructive and reversible within the 30-day Recovery Bin, you remain responsible for maintaining your own device backups (e.g. iCloud or local backup).
You agree not to misuse the app, reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it in violation of any applicable law.

4. Purchases

Sift offers a free tier and an optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks additional features (such as Auto-pilot and natural-language rules). There are no subscriptions, no ads, and no recurring charges.

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms.
A one-time unlock is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on your devices via "Restore Purchases" in the app.
Refunds are handled solely by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Recovery Bin & data handling

Items you clear are soft-deleted and held in the Recovery Bin for 30 days, after which they may be permanently removed. Photo deletions also route through Apple's standard system confirmation. We are not liable for data removed after the Recovery Bin window has elapsed or for items you permanently delete outside the app.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Sift is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app's classifications will be perfectly accurate or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use Sift. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app, if any.

8. Privacy

Sift collects no data and operates entirely on-device. See the Privacy Policy for details.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
