1. Acceptance
By downloading or using Sidra (the "app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. The app is published by Ahmet Gezgin ("we", "us").
2. The license
Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Sidra on devices you own or control, in line with the Apple Media Services Terms. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, decompile, or reverse-engineer the app or its bundled content except where the law expressly permits.
3. Purchase & payment
Sidra is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store under Apple's terms; refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's refund policy, not by us directly.
4. The content
Sidra's contemplations are offered for reflection. They walk reason to its limits and meet them with wonder; they are not theological rulings (fatāwā), scholarly verdicts, scientific authority, or medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. Use your own judgement, and consult qualified people for matters that need them.
The Arabic Qur'an text is from the Tanzil Project (tanzil.net) under CC BY and remains the work of its source. Translations are public-domain editions, attributed within each day that cites them. We claim no ownership over the scripture or these translations; the app's original prose, design, and arrangement are ours.
5. Your reflections
Anything you write in the app (your "Returns") belongs to you and is stored only on your device — we never receive or see it. Because there is no backup or cloud copy, you are responsible for preserving your own reflections; deleting the app deletes them.
6. Acceptable use
Use Sidra for your personal, lawful, contemplative use. Do not attempt to extract, scrape, or republish the bundled content, or to use the app in any way that infringes the rights of others or the licenses above.
7. Availability & changes
We aim to keep Sidra working well, but provide it "as is" without guarantee of uninterrupted operation. We may update the app to fix issues, add contemplations, or adjust features. We may revise these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new date, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sidra is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence applies.
