Sidra gives you one short contemplation a day. Each one walks reason honestly to the edge of what we know — across the cosmos, the mind, the self — through four beats: Grasp (what we know), Edge (where knowing thins out), Open (the view beyond), and Return (back to yourself, with a line to carry and a question to sit with). It's meant to be read slowly, then put down.

Sidra draws on the Qur'an and a contemplative Islamic register, and where a verse carries a day, the original Arabic is shown in full. But it never argues or proves — reason is walked to its limit and met with wonder, not a verdict. Readers of any background can sit with it.

No. Sidra is fully offline. All contemplations and the Qur'an verse database are bundled into the app at install. It makes no network requests, downloads nothing, and works the same in airplane mode.

A single line distilled from the day's contemplation, meant to be held with you through the day rather than left on the screen. It can also appear on a Lock Screen widget so the thought, not the app, stays close.

Each day ends with a quiet question — a small muhāsaba, a self-reckoning. You answer it in your own words, and your reflections gather privately into a journal only you can see. Everything you write stays on your device.

There's a gentle streak count if you want one, and a single optional daily reminder you set in Settings — nothing more. No feed, no badges nagging you, no push spam. The point is one calm thing a day, then to put the phone down.

Open Settings inside Sidra → Daily reminder. Toggle it on and pick a time, or toggle it off. The first time you enable it, iOS will ask permission for notifications. Decline and the rest of the app is unaffected.

The app reads in English. Where a day carries a Qur'an verse, the original Arabic is shown alongside, set right-to-left.

Yes — because nothing is stored in any cloud, deleting the app removes your reflections and progress with it. There is no account to restore from. This is the trade for total privacy. Back up anything you want to keep before deleting.

Sidra is built for iPhone. It runs on iPad in iPhone-compatibility mode, but the layout is tuned for the phone.
