In short: Athanor creates no accounts, collects no data, shows no ads, and never connects to a server. It runs entirely offline, and everything stays on your device.
1. Information We Collect
Athanor is built privacy-first. The app collects no personal information whatsoever.
- No account required — No signup, email, or phone number is ever requested.
- No analytics or tracking — No analytics frameworks, crash reporters, advertising IDs, or tracking SDKs are used.
- No ads — Athanor contains no advertisements and no third-party ad networks.
- No network connection — The game is fully offline. It makes no network requests for gameplay.
2. Data Storage
Your scores, progress, unlocked topologies, Codex discoveries, achievements, and settings are stored on your device using standard iOS storage (SwiftData and UserDefaults). This data:
- Is accessible only by the Athanor app on your device.
- Is protected by iOS sandboxing and device-level encryption.
- May be included in your standard iOS / iCloud device backup — this is normal iOS behavior, controlled entirely by you in your device settings; Athanor itself runs no cloud sync.
- Is fully removed when you delete the app.
3. Device Permissions
Athanor requests no special device permissions. It does not access your location, notifications, calendar, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, health, or motion data.
4. Sound
All audio in Athanor is synthesized on-device in real time — there are no audio recordings, no streaming, and no third-party audio assets. No microphone access is requested or used.
5. In-App Purchase
Athanor is free to play. An optional one-time in-app purchase (the "Full Unlock") opens the additional topologies and modes. The entire payment flow is handled through Apple StoreKit:
- Payment information (name, email, card details) is processed directly by Apple; Athanor never receives or stores any of it.
- Only the purchase state (purchased / not purchased) is kept on device.
- Restoring purchases is handled via your Apple ID.

6. Data Sharing
Because no personal data is collected, there is nothing to share. No user information is sold, rented, or traded — ever.
7. Children's Privacy
Athanor collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13. It is safe for all ages.
8. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated occasionally. Changes will appear on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
