Privacy Policy

ReelHabitX ("App") is built privacy-first. This policy explains what data the App handles, how, and why. The short version: everything stays on your device.

Data We Process

ReelHabitX processes the following entirely on your device. None of it is sent to us or any third party:

• Screen Time & app usage: Using Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls, Device Activity, Managed Settings), the App reads which apps you choose to limit and their usage so it can show insights and enforce your limits. This data is provided privately by iOS and is not readable by us.
• Your habits & limits: Habits, completion history, and the app-limit rules you create are stored locally with SwiftData on your device.
• Onboarding choices: Your selected goals, triggers, alternatives, and scroll estimate are stored locally to personalize the App.
• App selections: The apps and categories you pick to limit are chosen through Apple's system app picker. iOS gives the App private tokens for these — it does not reveal a readable list to us.

Permissions We Request

• Screen Time (Family Controls): Required to show usage insights and to limit or lock the apps you choose. Granted by you in a system prompt; revocable anytime in iOS Settings.
• Face ID / Touch ID: Used only to confirm it's you before turning a lock off. Authentication is handled by iOS through LocalAuthentication — the App never sees your biometric data.
• Notifications: Used for habit reminders and limit alerts. Optional and revocable in iOS Settings.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or rent any data, because we never receive any. The App contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party trackers.

Data Storage & Security

All data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData and a private App Group container shared only between ReelHabitX and its own system extensions. No cloud sync is performed. When you delete the App, all of its data is permanently removed from your device.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because no data leaves the device, the App collects no personal information from any user.

In-App Purchase

The App offers an optional one-time purchase, "Lifetime Unlock" (no subscription). All payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or store your payment information. The App only reads your purchase entitlement from Apple's StoreKit framework, on-device, to unlock premium features.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be announced via an in-app notice.
